Spineclinic Iprenburg is led and run by orthopaedic surgeon Menno Iprenburg. Iprenburg worked in the Wilhelmina Hospital in Assen for 27 years. In that time, he operated on more than 20,000 patients. Today he is specialized exclusively in endoscopic hernia surgery.
Spineclinic Iprenburg is an institution for specialized medical care falling under the WTZi act (Hospital Institution Charges Act).
On 31 May 2007, the Ministry of Health granted a license to practice to the Stichting Spine Care, a foundation with its statutory seat in Tynaarlo. (Specifically, the license was granted by the care institutions admissions unit of the CIBG Agency of the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport, under article 5, first paragraph of the WTZi act). The foundation Stichting Spine Care operates under the trade names Rugkliniek-Iprenburg and Spineclinic Iprenburg.
Dr. Iprenburg is supported before, during and after operations by highly experienced anaesthetists, anaesthetic nurses, operation assistants and radiologists from the Heerenveen ZBC Clinic.
